‘Philando Castile Shot Dead by Police’ Minnesota

Philando Castile Shot Dead by Police (Video – shot/live streamed to Facebook by Castile’s girlfriend Diamond Reynolds. This version obtained from an Anonymous upload) Video begins after the Minnesota policeman fired into Castile. I honestly don’t know what else to say folks.  I almost said “fired into the car” but he shot bullets into Castile. Why are we sharing the video? Because the police don’t want it seen is one reason. Because Castile’s girlfriend wanted it seen is another.

“My boyfriend carries all his information in a thick wallet in his right side back pocket,” Reynolds said. “As he’s reaching for his back pocket wallet he lets the officer know, ‘Officer, I have a firearm on me.’ I begin to yell, ‘But he’s licensed to carry.’ ”
We have a militarized police state but they are not held to the same standards as our military. I realize that the second amendment was not written with African Americans in mind except maybe for being on the other side of the gun. Slavery was still quite legal when it was written. Here is just more proof. Where will be the outrage from the NRA ? Those put into power are supposed to be held to a higher standard because of the power they hold. Public execution in the streets are not new only the police don’t have to take off their badges anymore to do so. You don’t have to watch the video. But we as a society must do something. I don’t know what but doing nothing, hasn’t worked for us. You will see blood. You will witness racism and hate. You will hear fear. If you feel indifference, go away.

The Missive Silo: Editors Note

I will be popping up from time to time with the occasional update or random thought. I promise it isn’t likely to be all that often. I just wanted to say a big thanks to Dave Rine, who has become our most consistent contributor. There’re been 33 of the ‘Punx Against Punx’ comics in about a year plus special 2016 election year installments so far. As it stands now, between January and today, PsychosemanticPress.com already has surpassed the visits we had in all of 2015. So that’s pretty fucking cool. Whoever you are, if you’re reading this, thanks for stopping by….More great shit to come.
